found a toy (stuffy type) in a parking lot of a shopping comlpex what would you do?

I lost LO's "little man" today, her favorite toy, and so far have called all the stores in the complex and no luck... Should I totally give up or keep up hope? I'm so upset with myself right now

oh honey, i'm so so sorry if i find something i always hand it in to the nearest shop or maybe a parking attendent, maybe you could phone around tomorrow and see if anyones handed it in x x x

I use to hand them in, but now I dont pick them up, only becasue carlee is seeing me pick things up and she likes to do the same then stick it in her mouth
