Im back!! 4 weeks tomorrow :/

Hi all

Happy to be back after my first IVF pregnancy ended in miscarriage

Well.... 4 months later and I am 4 weeks tomorrow!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited but terrified at the same time...

I found out i have a clotting gene (mthfr) which can cause miscarriages but my version is in 40% of women

I am on:
Heparin injections to prevent clots.. once a day
Aspirin 75mg once a day
Prescribed folic acid 5mg a day
Prescribed Vitamin B (Pyridoxine)
Progynova (estrogen) tablets 6mg a day
Cyclosgest progesterone pessaries
Pregnacare Plus
Vitamin D

Also been doing acupuncture since April 7th

Congratulations Hun! I'm sorry for your loss! And I'm ever so glad that they've figured out what caused it!

I had a MMC in March and am now a little over 5 weeks.

Will you have early scans etc?

Hey!

They didn't confirm that was the reason but I paid for clotting tests and they said it could have caused it. Or could have been one of those things , chromosomal etc

With IVF i get early scans to make sure it's a viable pregnancy before the discharge you from IVF clinic to hospital

I had a scan at 6 weeks and 5 days before and or was small but had a heartbeat...
But I may wait til after 7 weeks....

Congratulations to you both. I've just got my BFP too after 4 losses so i'm petrified. Really difficult to be positive at the moment but hopefully these babies are all going to stick xx

I'm due af sat so am only 3wks 4days

thanks Leinzlove, no didn't do anything different except fly to Norway to have with dh as he was away for 6wks. Am not feeling positive though as line is so so faint and is usually darker. x
