I'm confused

Hi Everyone, i was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on what's going on with my body. My period isn't due until next week, however, i have been spotting and light bleeding for the last two days. At one point the flow picked up and I assumed my period was beginning. Well, everytime i insert a tampon it comes back clean or with a small amount of brown blood. I have also been cramping and feeling as if i am on my period. What kind of bleeding is this? 😕😕
