I was watching this show "NICU" on tv and this woman had her baby at 28 weeks, which is what I am. Now the baby was sooo little...and I don't know why but I just burst out crying. Like, sobbing, chest heaving, the whole thing! :dohh: my poor oh is just looking at me asking me whats wrong why am I crying? and I just choke out that she's so small (talking about our daughter) and that there is this tiny person inside me

he looked at me all blank like...uh...yeah

lol

life has been really rough lately but good news is, ultrasound tomorrow! And OH is coming! His first ultrasound! I hope Molly hams it up for him. Maybe he'll feel it's more real once he sees her? Has that been your experience with your OHs? Or does the ultrasound not have much effect on them?

I actually went on a rant about this show when I saw the previews today! I swear, they should not have shows like that on tv since really the only people that watch them are pregnant, and it just scares us. They make me terrified and I'm almost full term. But my OH was laughing at me today because I was watching Special Delivery and was crying saying "I AM SO HAPPY MADI IS HEALTHY" (I was considered high risk for awhile because of the medication I was on before i found out I was pregnant, but she's fine :) ) So I definitely know what you mean :p

As for the ultrasound, I definitely think it makes it more real for them. My OH always just lights up whenever we see her. Besides seeing her that is my favorite part about having them, seeing him see her.

I know I keep watching the damn baby shows on that channel and they are making me neurotic! lol

Same here! I think I'm just getting obsessed with labor in general haha.

my hubby was like "eh" for the 8 week one but the 20 week one, he was thrilled about. I think it will help him to see that there is a baby in there but also that the baby moves and he can see it. Good luck!

anything like that has me in hysterical tears, but I think it's the motherly instincts kicking in. I cry at anything at the moment though, it's terrible!

as for the ultrasound, my OH came to my 20 week one & it definitely made it a lot more real for him. nothing had affected him until that point, not even hearing the heartbeat, but as soon as he saw the baby at the ultrasound something definitely changed with him :) hope it goes well for you! xx

My OH didnt bat an eyelid about baby until he came to the 20 week scan. He was gobsmacked, when the sonographer zoomed in on the hands to check them he went 'OMG its got proper hands! Its wriggling its fingers!!!' :dohh: The woman doing my scan thought he was hilarious, asking him what was he expecting to see :haha:

he had even felt baby kicking before the scan but it seemed to really hit home that there is a baby in my belly :D xxx

My OHs first ultrasound at 20 weeks was when he really started talking about the baby and trying to feel him kick and stuff. It definitely caused him to bond more with the baby I think it finally felt real when he saw him on the screen and found out it was a boy. :) :cloud9:

how big is she at 28 weeks? will i be able to see her super well soon?

My oh almost cried at our 10w4d ultrasound and hes not an emotional guy.

When he gets up for work every morning he wakes me up to say goodbye, well the last couple mornings hes like babe only _ more days til the ultrasound with a big smile lol.

I don't think it really started to kick in till he actually came to my first ultrasound which was when we found out the gender.

I think you'll see a difference (:
