:happydance: Yay!!!

I am so happy. I have had glue ear for the past 4 years. I had a grommet inserted late 2011 but it only lasted 6 months. I had 2 babies and just accepted the fact that I'm deaf in one ear! lol

Well January I wrote a long list of my ailments and pledged to do something about them all. Today I was at the hospital seeing the consultant and they've referred me to have a permanent grommet inserted ASAP as I have little/no hearing in the left ear whatsoever and as my previous grommet isn't work they're using a different, long term one! I am so happy i could burst.

As a bonus the nice nurse suctioned out my ears so my ears are all clean - it was so satisfying lol. I did have to have a camera up my nose and all sorts but it was worth it. Hopefully within 10 weeks I'll have the op and I'll have hearing in both ears again! :happydance:

I remember getting my ears suringed when i was younger. It was the best feeling ever, i felt i could hear every little sound when i walked out of the surgery and really appreciating my hearing. Its going to feel amazing, well done!

I remember what it was like when I had my grommet in years back and it was like someone had lifted a cloud and I could hear every little thing! I'm looking forward to it soon much :cloud9:

Congrats! I have been suffering from partial hearing impairment after my delivery. I can't hear anything apparently with my left ear. My audiologist in Hearing solutions, Toronto had prescribed me to wear a hearing aid and now, I'm using it. I wonder whether I want to live with these hearing aids in the rest of my life. Does anyone have a similar experience after your delivery?
