im having a sweep today and im soo nervous

Im starting to feel sick, got consultant at 10.45am and im sure they said i can have a sweep, im a vbac this time round so think they want baby here as close to due date but ive not had one before and if im honest im cr@pping it, i dunno what to expect and its all come round soo fast, im worrying about labour and how my third ended in an emergency section which was quite traumatic esp for my hubby watching

Ive been getting some period pains thru the nite and this morning too, please someone reassure me/explain what a sweep is like

I had one on Tuesday and honestly it was fine. It's uncomfortable but I guess it's just much like an internal exam. Just remember to breathe through the pain. Your midwife/ doctor will talk you through it. You're in good hands. If you're nervous then it's very likely that you'll be tense and it will make things worse so you really must relax! Remember, pain is subjective
