I think public school would be so boring if there were no celebrations or spirit days. If you really don't want your child exposed to different cultures and celebrations, then send them to a private school or home-school them.

To be fair though, 18 eggs sounds like a lot! I was only asked to send in 2 eggs for my daughter's kindergarten Easter activities. (They always have extras for those who weren't able to.)
