'm 4 days late, my cervix is very high, hard, and tilted to the right. I've been doing some research and I've read that a pregnant cervix is high and soft. Ive had very very slight cramps the past 3 days. I took a test this morning and it came up negative. Has this happened to anyone else? Were your results positive or negative? I've been ttc for a few years now and don't want to get my hopes up being that I had a negative result. I'm incredibly confused so i'm looking for some insight from you wonderful ladies

Hi Babyfever 79. I am not sure I know how to answer your question about the cervix. I am still trying to figure out how people know this stuff about their bodies LOL... I think the best advice I can give you is to say you may have tested too early and for that reason you got a false negative. Give yourself another 3-5 days and see if af shows or not. I know the few times I have thought I was pregnant, it was because I was off on when I thought I ovulated. I have to now assume I will have a 27-30 day cycle and refuse to test until after the last possible day my period could have started as I am very regular in that 3 day time period. I would also say maybe you have a naturally tilted cervix or whatever its called. If af shows up, I would make an appointment for a pap to see if they see anything like that. If you get another negative in a week then definitely make an appointment for a blood test and stuff to see if there is anything else medically going on that you should worry about.

I agree with the pp.
It may be that you misjudged your ovulation date, which means you may not be due your period yet. I really do recommend temping if you want help tracking your ovulation date.
Also, i wouldnt take too much notice of your cervix around this time as many people have had bfps with all sorts of different positioned cervix's! Many dont move to a high and soft position until further into their pregnancy.
As for your cramps, this may be a sign that your period is on its way in the next couple of days, i would wait it out over the weekend and see if she arrives or not!
