My second appointment with FS is today and Im pooing my pants! :shy:

I don't normally get nervous but I can't find anybody with a similar journey or experience to me so I'm clueless.

Wish me luck...

TTC no.1 after 7 years on BCP. Total irregular AF, no predicting it at all. F.S has so far only done blood tests and DH has had 3 S.A. Going for a review this evening.

Most of the other ladies on here have had a lot more tests/investigations done at this stage. Im paying privately for his review so I don't want him to waste my time and brush me off with some excuse about being young, plenty of time blah blah blah

I know I don't ovulate regularly so just give me some drugs to fix it!!!!!!

AAAh I think lots on here have a very similar journey to you! When I went for my appointment they made me have cd2 and cd21 blood tests..they missed off the estrogen so i had to have that done again with the fsh and lh on cd2!! Then husband had to have SA test at their hospital...even though he had done 2 with gp the silly dr didnt accept it. I had to have a HSG on cd1-10 and a TVS and the FU appointmehnt was booked for 2 months later. Hope that helps!

I hope everything goes well with your appointment this evening x :hugs:

How long have you been trying to conceive and how long have you been off of birth control?

Best of luck at your appointment. I hope you got some answers. Don't forget to let us know how you got on.

So ladies, had my review this evening and it went brilliantly. At last, I have been diagnosed with PCOS.
Most people would be upset at this diagnosis, but it's a huge weight of my shoulders just to know what's wrong with me.

F.S said some of my hormones were a bit high, and then did an internal examination and scan. The scan took about 2 minutes, Dr was very discrete and it was only a little sore. He was able to show me the cysts on my ovaries and said my uterus and ovaries were very healthy aside from this.

He told me I probably don't ovulate, but then the scan showed that the unaffected ovary had a follicle in it and he called this 'spontaneous ovulation'. Told me I would ov randomly in 3-4 days..... good to know!

He has also perscribed clomid 50mg for my next cycle and I will have to go for a follicular tracking scan on CD 10. DH'S S.A results were 86 mil and everything else was totally normal for him so good news all round.

This is fantastic progress for me and DH and well worth the private fee.

Heya Mrs R, it sounds like it was a really positive experience for you in the end! Fab stuff! Hey, you might not need the clomid if you've a little eggie ready to rock n roll in the next few days!!! I say get BD'ing hun!!!!!!! x x x x x

good luck x x x x

thats great hunni it is such a weight off your mind when u no the reason isnt it :)
xxxxxxx

That's great news (not the PCOS, but you know what I mean)! Thank goodness for spontaneous ovulation... :dust:

Hey that is excellent progress! I too hav PCO and have only just been prescribed clomid for the next cycle...going privately seems really good as it took me an agonising 2 months to be told exactly what you were told and then prescribed clomid! When do you start clomid? I'm on cd12 so hopefully if no AF then in a 2-3 weeks i will start clomid. Did you get 100mg or 50mg?

I'm so pleased you got some answers. Must be a relief knowing what the problem is and that there is a solution! Who knows maybe you won't even need the clomid if you can catch that eggy on its way in a couple of days! :hugs:

Great news Mrs R. I'm glad you made huge steps forward. Private is definitely the way forward. Hopefully you won't need the clomid next month ... get busy :sex: and I'll keep my fingers crossed...

xx

So glad you got some answers hun and that's really good progress.
