Hey all, I'm new to this.

I'm currently 21 and my partner who is 26 are wanting to try for our first baby, I had my implant removed after having 2 for a total of 5 years with no AF on the 10th April yet to have a AF since that date and have taken a pregnancy test which came back BFN. I just want to know if anyone else has/is in the same situation and how long it took to conceive. Have had syptoms of pregnancy but don't know if that is just to do with implant removal. Thanks xx

Hi. I had my implant removed in september and went straight on the pill and fell pregnant whilst on it in january. When i ask my doctor after having the implant removed she said the hormones are out of your system that day and that your cycles should come back within 4-8 weeks. Good luck x

It took a year to fall pg after having the implant removed

hey grumpybutgorg

had the implant removed on monday 16/5/2011 as wanting to TTC for our first child, which i am very excited about! I just hope i dont have to wait too long for that all important BFP.

Really enjoyed reading some of your posts and found them also very helpful, so thanks to you all for that!

When on the implant i had constant bleeding that was hardly worth what it was thru out having implant, hated it, so after a year my doctor and i agreed to have it removed was the best idea, especially with the big decision we have decided anyhow!

All this week i have had slight bleeding and today it has stopped so i am hoping i get a proper AF next month, as ideally, i want to get an idea of my cycle again, but my impatience of getting the BFP is no doubt take over

hugs x

all the best for you xxx

I had my implant out 10 days ago, I had realy regular periods throughout my time on it so she said I could start trying straight away. I've had a lot of pg symptoms after removal too, apparently that's common, they've pretty much stopped now.

Since have my implant removed 9 days ago i have been soooooo tired! the other moring i was so tired when i woke up i felt sick with it! But this mornig i got up and i dont feel too bad, maye its because i arent at work 2day!

hi wonder if any of you can help as i am a bit confused!

i had my implant out on the 16th may as i mention previously!
the night i had implant out i had a bleed that lasted about 5-6 days but not sure wether to have classed that as a period or not as i had constant spotting and bleeding throughout having the implant in!

On the 13th and 14th day (sat and sunday) of cycle if i was to class that first bleed as AF i had stetchy CM, my partner and i have been dtd everyother day since having implant removed.

However between the 12th day of cycle to the 15th (friday to monday) day i was away with some friends so didnt dtd then, which is annoying as i was hopefully fertile then, hadnt done ov test as i was away! but dtd on the thursday night and when i got back on monday!

Anyway, over the past couple of days i have had slight pink/brown spotting, but no sign or feeling as an early AF, what could this be??

xxx

Hi, theres a whole thread dedicated to this topic:

& quite encouragingly alot of success stories!!

:dust:

Potentially implantation bleeding, but I've had spotting since coming off the implant (which I never had on it) - but you could do a test to find out.

hiya dinah,

i had stetchy cm for a day 14-15 days after having implant removed, i have had slight spotting but only enough for tissue to pick up for 3 days(its now 23 days since having implant removed) and then last night at 11pm i had a wipe of red and i thought af had arrived, woke up this morning and nothing to be seen of AF, so strange! i have done a test and :bfn: i hate this ttc business! its plays games with my head, and like u i had pg symptoms too xxx

I had AF at the right time thankfully, but no OV yet. I know what you mean about it playing games with your head though! Where in Yorkshire are you Hellybean? I live right at the top, my town straddles Yorkshire and the not really existing Cleveland x

Its horrible feelings, i also dont want to get to obsessed with ttc if you now what i mean as thats when it wont happen i need to relax about it really!

so have you not had a positive ov test yet since having the implant removed?

I live in the heart of north Yorkshire! York!

xx

Positive OV on Thursday so officially now in the 2WW. Know what you mean about the two WW, I think until my first AF off contraception I thought we were going to be the one in a hundred who it happens for straight away, but now I'm just hoping it will happen within 6 months!

Ah I love York, had my very sensibly glam type hen weekend there (I was on crutches at the time), and a lot of my friends live there now, but my hubby is kind of anti-city, he's a real country boy at heart.

Have you had AF yet? Seems a long time if no BFP? Although if you weren't regular while on it apparently it can take a while to settle down again.

Hey dinah

Glad u have had a positove ov. Good luck for that bfp.

Oh no why was u on crutches? York is lovely, I do love living here.
AF arrived yesterday so hopefully I can start tracking my cycle. Xx

Lol I think I'm chatting to you over two threads now!

I had to have knee surgery, without going into gory detail basically the fluid that cushions the movement had been pushed out and the two parts had started to fuse together - I was determined to be walking without crutches by the wedding, and I just about got through, although I did need them a bit on honeymoon.

Hi ladies,
had my implant out in november and only got my 1st positive opk last month so its taken around 6months for me to ov even though i was having regular periods =( found the implant a total nightmare and was glad to see the back of it! Excited now that i know my body is back on track!
Babydust to all ladies and lets see those bfps! Xxx

I too hated the implant!!

Good luck kitcat with ttc! xx
