Hi Ladies,

It's the end of my first month on clomid and I've been getting really bad cramps all week. They started on the left side when I ovulated 11 days ago, and then went away for a day or two, before shifting to the centre. They feel like normal period pains, but are getting worse-- so like strong period pains. It almost feels like AF is here, but I'm not due until Sunday/Monday and I do get breaks from the cramps. Is this a side-effect of clomid? Has anyone else had this happen?

Please let me know! Thanks !!!

Hey, I had that from Round 2 to 5.

Side effects are different for everyone and cramps are just one of the many.

Thanks Princess, can I ask-- when that happened, was af especially painful?

When AF arrived, the first couple of hours I had mild cramping and after that, nothing till after ovulation. X

When I was on Clomid, I had very bad, sharp pains in my ovaries the whole month. They tended to get better just as AF was arriving. Hang in there hun. :hugs:

That's exactly how I felt before these cramps-- sharp pains in my left ovary starting with ovulation. The pain was excruciating when it started, and since I had a lap end of July, I went to the hospital! They told me that when I ovulated, it released fluid into the abdominal cavity or something like that. But the cramps I have now are like super strong af cramps. The ovary pain has settled down. I can handle the pain if all of this will amount to something! I'm hoping next month will be more successful... and that when af comes, the cramps don't get any worse than this!
