In absolute shock over my MA claim!!!

I cant believe it!!

I only posted my Maternity allowance forms last friday (one week ago today) and Ive had my letter back informing me of payments and when they start - ALREADY!

Its all worked out for me (for once!!)
I was expecting delays and phone calls with arguments over this and that!

Just so glad to be sorted now.

Ive probably tempted fate and now the payments wont start properly - but I was so happy just to get my papers back that I had to tell someone!

That's amazing!

Gives me hope for mine which I posted on Monday then!! I'm envisioning a loooong process too with a dozen phonecalls a day etc..... I really hope I'm that lucky seeing as I know I've sent them EVERYTHING they asked for!!

Must say they are extremly helpful and really quick at getting things done

I sent mine off the long way aswell through the actual job centre as knowing my luck it'll get lost in the post and got a reply of acceptance
Back in just over a week .

Then they phoned me on monday asking me when I'd like the payments to start and my first payment should be in there in 5-10 days

So fingers crossed its all paid on time

Yey! I'm so happy for you - especially as you had similar circumstances to me and I sent my form off just after you!
I am expecting some queries on my form as I'm claiming on NI contributions but did have 2 employers in the past 66 weeks. Hopefully the form will be assessed by somebody who has a clue though!
I'll be looking out for my postie today

MA helpline phoned me last monday asking when i wanted the money to be paid in and they said it would be in 5-10 days from that phonecall, havent checked my bank today but fingers crossed it is in

if not it should deffinatly be in towards the end of october, well praying it is ?

Oh no!! I hope it gets sorted for you soon.

I was still expecting problems with mine even though Ive had the paper work back. Lo and behold - my first payment went in the bank this morning! I simply cannot believe it!! Its usually me that has to ring back several times and supply more proof etc.

I cant understand it but Im not complaining!!!

I couldn't resist any longer and had to phone them!
They have the form and are just verifying with HMRC regarding NI contributions.
Was all quite positive until her said if you haven't heard back by 26th October then give them another ring.

26th October!!! that's ages away - am hoping it's sorted out by then as if I have to phone them then it will no doubt mean another few weeks for them to figure out what they're doing!
