Increased anbiotic fluid and big baby

posted this in 3rd tri but thought may get some advice/answers here too.

Had a scan friday and been advised is big 8lb 1oz est at 36 wks and also i have increase amniotic fluid.
I have also been monitored due to belly being big

No one has given me any answers and just wondered if any of you ladies are in the same position.

Im waiting for a re-scan any day now (the new hosp should call me today to arrange) and appt with consultant for the 18th jan

whats not helped is that ive moved home a mth ago and the previous hosp i was under were useless even though they are supposed to be a high risk hosp and the hosp im now under are digusted by the previous hosp

Just wondered if anyone gone through the same thing or is in the same position.

feeling bit scared and worried and cant wait for some answers to put our minds at ease.

I had to step away from google as it was just scaring me.

sorry also forgot to add that ive not got gestational diabtetes as GTT came back as NAD

I have had to have a growth scan pushed forward by my MW, as I am supposed to be 33wks Friday, but am now measuring 38wks!!
I have been measuring big for the last month or so and am worried by what it might mean too. My scan is tomorrow morning, so will update as and when I'm told anything xxxx

My baby is measuring big by 3 weeks and my uterus is measuring 4 weeks ahead. But my scan shows no proiblems at all. She is just long like her mummy. Good Luck both. Will check for updates. As her growth has started to creep up

what you hve is called polyhydramnios, i had it with my 2nd pregnancy, my son was born at 37weeks weighing 10lb 3 ounces and loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooads of waterit means nothing more other than increased risk of pre term labour which doesnt apply to you now anyway, it is associated with preg diabetes, but not always, i didnt have it, and as your urine is always tested it would show up and glucose in it etc. dont worry or panic, they will have checked your baby is swallowing which can be another cause, but they always check for this on scans and especially where polyhydramnios is suspected......... just dont expect to go overdue, and dont worry, it really does mean nothing else aside from a big baby and lots of water xxxx

hi there, i had the same issue with my daughter and i know how worried u must b, like ellastruts said its just a big baby n lots of water cos im sure u would have done a series of tests immediately, it could also be an iron deficiency so if they saw that in ur blood test u shd be on iron tabs now, if not then just relax and prepare for d birth.when i had my girl she was 9lbs and im a very petite and skinny person so i assumes thats why i was quite large.take care of u and dont worry love.wish u a safe delivery.hugs
