For my induction at 38 weeks exactly they did mine a little differently than some because i was only 1cm at that point, so i went to hospital the noght before induction where they put a foley catheter in there ( one they would use for urine, a regular catheter, but instead they place it in the vagina) and that just stretched u out more to at least 3-4cm by the morning... Around midnight it was very painful so they took it out and i was only 2cm... By morning though 4:30am i was 4cm and he broke my water and startd pitocin, and labor began...Around 11am i was 5cm and got my epidural..the contractions were painful but i breathed through them quite well... Then after the epidural i only felt pressure it was amazing, at 1:30 i was ready to push and my little one was born at 2:39 pm... So about 12 hours of labor.. Not bad at all, minus my complicated birth of getting my tailbone cracked and an episiotomy :/. Wich i didnt feel til the next day.
