My youngest is taking part in this study with UCSD (university of california san Diego) at the autism centre, she just had her first session and goes back in 6-9m for the next part. They do play sessions where they watch where LO goes, then how they interact with the psychologist, a developmental assessment and a ADOS for ASD traits.
My dd is 15m and qualified as my son is dx autistic, her results were she's low risk of ASD but her speech/coordination is at the 9m level. We were offered speech therapy or wait and see, any ideas on the way forward?
Also my son! He's now 4 1/2 and is still in his special ed preschool, ASD specialised with 50/50 ASD kids to peer models He's there 5 days a week getting different therapies as well as social interaction BUT I'm finding his vocal tics are getting worse! He and another ASD boy are bouncing off each other so its pretty much constant, atm they're shouting out "face your gabes" which makes no sense lol but my son shouts it at anyone, esp strangers if he's excited! I'm at a loss as to how to deal with this, on top of that if I do the usual 5x and then you have to stop as recommend by his developmental pediatrician, he swaps it for another phrase Thankfully he's getting better at not smelling the road everytime we cross now
