Infant spasms anyone?

I originally posted about my son a week or so ago. I was concerned about some odd behaviour he was showing. We've since had him at a&e and des have diagnosed infant spasms/seizures. The cause of them is yet to be determined. We are waiting for an EEG tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone had faced this and what to expect.

sorry for short post was on my phone and it kept losing internet and dissappearing my posts. was third time writing it.
my lo has infantile spasms ,
he had a stroke at birth.
his spasms started at around 4 months.
once he started on vigabatrin they stopped completly.
he has been having some episodes lately but they r different and hospital are now tryin to get ot the bottom of it.
hope ur ok.
its a shock at first but ye will be ok , hugs xxx

just want to add that the new ones he has been having are most likely as a result of his stroke and not directly connected to spasms,
in case ive worried u more
infantile spasms are in vast majority of cases gone by age 2.
small few continue to age 5 but they do stop with or without meds.
but meds are to make sure lo is ok in the mean time so spasms cant cause regression xxx
