So I got my bloods back, all hormones are fine, waiting on the AMH result.

The nurse from my FS called and said that my blood sugar and insulin levels were high and doc would prescribe me something and she'd fax it through.

My sugar was 7.8 and my insulin was 72.

Now I've been researching on google and those both seem within normal range????

Am I reading incorrectly or are those really high?

TIA

Hi,

I don't know if 72 is normal but I've been told my insulin level is ok, although still at the risk of running high and I was prescribed Metformin to lower insulin levels. Sometimes they prescribe Metformin to prevent high levels. PCOS ladies tend to have higher levels of insulin therefore they are put on Metformin. I'd ask your doctor or nurse if you are doubtful ...
