Hello, we were scheduled to see our first round of doctors in July. I chickened out and then my hubby switched jobs so I will noy have insurnace for 6 months:growlmad:
Anywho, I am 35 and hubby 44 and we are on our 7th cycle. We bd every other day during our fertile 2 week period and use conceive plus and pre seed alternating. I am on bcomplex, omega, prenatals, vitamin d, coq10, and guafenesin. I have never been pregnant, but my hubby did conceive with ex girlfriends. So I am thinking I am the problem. How much (in the US) on average does it cost for initial workup? Ultrasound, SA, and 21 day bloods. Was hoping to swing it without the insurance so i didn't have to wait.

I actually just threw away the sheet from our RE with all of the prices on it (we've decided not to pursue treatment and I was having a fit of feeling sorry for myself....). From what I remember it was about $3000, not including office visits for a full work up for both hubs and me (day 3 bloodwork, TV ultrasound for AFC, HSG-doc and hospital costs, and semen analysis). Of course the prices vary in different places, but this should give you a decent ball perk. We were damn lucky in that our insurance covered all of the testing at 90% and we paid a little less than $300 out of pocket.

I guess better than I thought and PA is pretty darn close to us :)

Your GP may be able to run some of the tests too to possibly save you some money. Just a thought. :)
