Hi everyone
I've just joined this forum so thought I'd better introduce myself and my baby.
I'm Kate, I'm 22 and I have an 8 week old baby girl called MJ.
I had a pretty rubbish pregnancy because our little girl wasn't planned, and my oh couldn't cope with the prospect of being a father, but he stood by me throughout the pregnancy, and up until the day before our daughter was born he still didn't love her or feel anything towards her. Unfortunately he missed the birth, (because I didn't tell the midwife I was in agony until it was too late!) but as soon as he walked into the delivery room and saw her it was love at first sight. I never believed in it until that day. Since he laid eyes on our daughter he has loved her and cared for her so much, every day I struggle to believe that he hasn't been a Dad before because he's just a natural, and we are now the most perfect little family. I had pre-eclampsia and so had to be induced 2 weeks early... my labour was 3 hours long, and MJ was born within 10 pushes...... all with no pain relief!!
I did have a nasty tear and needed stitches, but now I am 8 weeks post birth and I feel great! I am loving being a Mummy, and MJ is an absolute dream. I feel that we have been blessed with a very well behaved baby- she feeds well, she sleeps well, and she's the happiest most content baby I've ever met!
Sorry for rambling on, just thought I'd share a bit of background information!
Hope to get to know you all better,
Kate x
