Hi ladies,

I'm Rebekah. I'm 37 and TTC #1. I am so excited to be on this journey and can not wait to be a first time mother. I find it hard not to obsess about getting pregnant. I have been doing so much research and am finding so much conflicting information out there. For example, I was watching a fertility specialist on Youtube who says there is no need to wait to get up after BD because the sperm goes up on it's own, then I read that you should lay down for anywhere from 5-20 minutes. Do you ever find yourself getting utterly confused?

Anyway, I have read so many posts here and you all are so positive. You are such a wonderful group of ladies joined together by a common thread. I pray for all of you on your ttc journey. I'm really glad I found this site.

Welcome :hi: Hope your stay is short and you get that much treasured BFP! :flower:

Welcome Rebekah, there are many many things to obsess about whilst TTC 35+.

Re the getting up after DTD, most of us are laying down with the pillow under the hips (and legs up as well!) for a minimum of 20 minutes, some people are also using softcups (which are like a diaphragm and keep the swimmers in there) and preseed as well. I seriously doubt it makes much difference though.

The longer you do this the more obsessed you become, so we talk a lot about our furbabies (I see you have 2) and food etc to break up the TTC talk too.

Hello Rebekah :hi:I agree, this is a very positive site! I ask a lot of questions here and people are always so helpful.

I tried not to obsess either but eventually just gave up. :haha:

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome.

I have been on here since feb 08... the info i have found thro the ladies on this site will rival any fertility specialist..hahaha and of course they love to hear how we have "researched" on our own..

I stay on my back ( or sometimes doggy style as I have a tilted cervix) for at least 15 min...haha can't hurt....

I'm waiting to tst so i will not tel you to NOT obsess about TTC especially with google searches for symptoms ect.....BUT the extra stress sure doesn't help....

I try to visit threads that have nothing to do with TTC... and try to meet new cycle buddies..( my old ones have all gotten pregnant!!!!!! and babies are now 2 yrs old )

So nic to meet you and hope we get to chat again in......... 1st Tri threads..haha

:haha: Too true! If you have a good recipe or pet story, we'll blow up the board with comments.

Welcome rebekah. :flower:

Hi Rebekah! Yes, there are so many conflicting "facts". Regarding staying still after bding...it can't hurt! I have been known to put my legs in the air. :haha:
