Irregular? How did you get your BFP?

I am currently TTC, with irregular cycles, my last two were 35 days and 49 days.
And wonder how many of you put your sucess down to opks, CBFM, BDing everyother day, temping, NTNP, Treatment or happy accident?
 
we'd decided to stop trying til we were settled in our new home in cyprus i decided not to go bk onto bcp for such a short time, we had :sex: only twice cd12 and cd19, didnt think anything of it, til my boobs were sore and achey! tested and bam!
 
It took us 12 months, my DH had a sperm count which came back that we had very little chance of conceiving, the doctor didn't know that I'd got my BFP the day before!
 
my cycles had been all over the place ranging from 35-50 days but i went on the pill for 3 months and they got regular for me and then i came off and fell pregnant that month we bedded every other day for 2 wks and i got symptoms from 4days after i must have concived going by the 28 day cycle but i wasnt using opks or anything
 
my cycles were 21 - 59 days long, and for 80% of them i didn't ov at all
i used temping and OPKs. the cbfm didn't really work for me because cycles were too all over the place!
i went to my doc, got prescribed clomid but amazingly ov'd that same day and got preggers! :baby:
i put knowing I was oving down to the OPKs, and I found temping very helpful too :)
 
Temping and CBFM :) Along with constant bd'ing every day until Fertilityfriend confirmed I'd ovulated. That was CD30 on the month I conceived, and a BFP followed on CD40.

Ovulation tests really didn't work for me. If I was to TTC again I would use CBFM and temping.

Without sounding like I am rubbing it in to anyone - hubby and I seem to be super fertile and have been extremely lucky. I have been pregnant 3 times now. 1st and 3rd we BD just one time, with the 2nd we BD twice. Good thing too - the first time we had debated whether or not to get pregnant, maybe we should wait a couple years, etc and decided to give it one try...BFP. We lost that little angel and so decided to try again and it happened 4 weeks after our loss. This time around I was ready but hubby wanted to wait til he had been at his job a bit longer...one sneaky night on my part and voila! BFP. How we never got pregnant all the careless years before hand is beyond me, but when we decided it was time it happened. And this from a couple who was told we would probably never have children!

Ditto temping & CBFM for me too!! i had irregular periods from 32-40 days , tried for 8 months & then got my BFP first time using the CBFM!! I think its amazing & will defo use it again in the future ( just wont wait the 8 months next time!!!! ) xxx

I know this poll is closed but I figured I would put my input anyways.
I was having major irregular cycles...2 around 74 days and the rest between 49 and 37. It was a pain...we had been trying for almost 2 years with no success...finally my fertility specialist put me on clomid...1st month=28 days 2nd month=28 days and 3rd month=pregnant. It was amazing and I think it was just what my body needed. I had 2 miscarriages previously Dec 2007 and June 2008 so we are hoping this is a sticky little one! Good luck to you!!
 
bd'ing regularly and not thinking about pregnancy AT ALL :) took us 6 months to get pregnant
 
I tried every thing but i found temping the most helpful. I fell pregnant on what would have been a 45ish day cycle. My cycle ranged from 36 to 60++ days!
 
We were trying to conceive for 2 years before i decided to go to the doctors. I had a few blood tests done, and it had came back that i had stopped ovulating. The doctor didn't know why and so she sent me to see a gynocologist and a fertility clinic. Whilst waiting for our appointment (we had to wait approx 3 month) we somehow managed to conceive. We had stopped trying as we were planning our wedding and had already been told i hadn't been ovulating so didn't think it would happen. To our surprise we conceived identical twins boys but unfortunatley they died at 16 weeks gestation. We put our wedding back, as obviously OH & I needed time to greive for the babies, and we felt ready to try again more or less straight away. I started temping, using pre-seed, and using a CBFM. None of those worked for us, so we decided to take a break and stop TTC. The first month we didn't try lo and behold we got pregnant. I'm now 16 weeks pregnant and hoping everything is going to be ok this time. So far, this pregnancy has been pretty much plain sailing so fingers crossed! :)
 
mama2connor....sorry for your loss but happy news for you now!! i wish you all the best & hope you have a happy pregnancy this time round xx:thumbup:
 
i came off the pill in june 2008. i had a breakthrough bleed, then waiting 3 months for a period, had 3 5 week long cycles, then had a 6 month long cycle! i started temping & checking cm in the last couple of months of that cycle, as well as taking agnus castus. the next cycle i temped all the way through & had a 54 day day cycle (taking ac & epo). both cycles i had a 9 day luteal phase, so i included vitamin b6 in my next cycle, which was 46 days long with a 12 day lp. the next cycle i ovulated on cd19 (yay!) but only bd'd 6 & 4 days before ovulation. i got my :bfp: late at night 12dpo.

my period before the one in March was Nov 23rd so I went 101 days without.. I took some NPC which I believe jump started my insides,,, I got my period exactly 14 days after I stopped taken the NPC, however continued with the Maca and Femaprin

finally got a + OPK and did what we had to do and got my :bfp: April 3, 2010

I went 19 years without ever getting pregnant, not that I was truly trying but never prevented it either....

I thought my hope was up started TTC in june 09 and had 2 m/c. Took us 14 mnths after m/c to fall preg. My cycles where between 50 and 80 days. I didnt have a clue wen i oved and didnt chat or temp. But this cycles i promised if this wasnt my month id start charting.! I didnt need to tho! I was pregnant! Dont have a clue how i managed to get preg either as i was sure i wasnt OVing!
