Irregular Spotting

I consistently spot the week prior to my period - light spotting that gradually intensifies into my period. This cycle, I noticed a literal spot of brownish pink CM around 8 DPO. Nothing after. 12-14 DPO slightly heavier spotting accompanied by intense lower back pain. Spotting was heavier than "the spot" at 8 DPO, but noticeably lighter than my usual pre-period spotting.

Today is 17 DPO. Have had zero spotting since Day 14. My period should come today or tomorrow, but no signs it's on its way.

Anyone else, especially those who regularly spot, experience something similar and get a BFP?

Cracked and took a test. That I just realized expired 6/15. And I used über-hydrated midday pee. All the fails.

I'm a semi-regular spotter... Nothing so far and I'm due the 30th. Either the prenanals have helped or... Maybe a bfp is around the corner.. Fx for us both.
