Is anyone doing anything "out of the norm" for their wedding?

This website was suggested to me by someone, and I can't stop gawking over how amazing everything looks: offbeatbride.com

There's goth weddings, weddings in cemeteries, raver weddings, inked up weddings, etc. It's just amazing.

Does anyone have plans for something out of the ordinary?

Not so much out of the ordinary but im wearing red instead of white! x

I'm wearing royal blue instead of white. Not really off the wall but a little bit different. We've also kind of cobbled things together and got friends and family to do us favours in helping out with pretty much everything instead of going with professional suppliers. So it's very DIY! We're even growing our own flowers for me and the bridesmaids!! Oh, and my MOH is male!

Nothing THAT out of the ordinary lol but I'm not having flowers, I'm making my bouquet out of felt and buttons, as well as buttons holes, church flowers, etc. and we're also having buttons on EVERYTHING (I'm a button and craft freak! lol). And instead of a nice meal we're ordering fish and chips. I hate anything too posh, it's just not me!

Nothing too out of the ordinary but...

The "reception" will be a BBQ backyard summer party, with BBQ ribs, fish, and cupcakes instead of cake!

Tiny ceremony likely without any MOH or bridesmaid. My family will likely not even be there (I will be getting married on the other side of the country, which in Canada, is 5000km away!)

My puppy will be in a little tuxedo Which might last for 1 minute

Since our baby will be around 1 at the time, I do not want to do anything fancier or elaborate than that.

Aww everything sounds so lovely. I love weddings that take a few risks.

I'm just beginning to plan things, but I've made a few decisions already:
-no white dress for me! BUT: If I find a dress that I like, that I look amazing in, and it's white, I'm going to have a crinoline that peeks out of the bottom, and it'll be colored probably a bright blue.
-colored crinoline, regardless of color of dress. I'll figure it out. x)
-almost everything will be DIY - especially the save the dates & invites, the favors, and the flowers.
-my flowers will be made of paper (if I have it my way, lol). I'll probably do a combination of origami and simple paper flowers. Here's a picture: Got the idea from one girl's wedding on OffbeatBride LOVE it! The crinoline is from the same wedding, love her bouquet!
-we're getting married outside, and our guests will be sitting in a circle around us. My OH will come in from one side, stand and wait for me, and I'll come in through the other, probably being walked in by my grandpa, or his grandpa.

That's what I've got for now... bought a bunch of magazines for more ideas though.

We were going to get married in underground vaults but OH went off the idea, I would have adored it.

Instead of first dance, we are having a karaoke and a first song Its more us!

We are not having MOH or BM and just having a small wedding then back home or mil for a small do. But we dnt drink so we didnt want to go to a pub or owt and see every getting drunk and all that

Well we are doing a winter wedding but I will be wearing a red wedding dress and he will be wearing a black tux with red vest and it will be I guess u could say a gothic type wedding in the winter. haha.
