Is getting a BFN at 12 DPO a bad sign of AF to come?

Hi guys, I'm currently on 12 DPO and have had cramping, light spotting, etc...the preggo symptom works, essentially. I've tested every day since Saturday and all have been BFN. Here are my symptoms:

I ovulated somewhere between the 18th and 20th. Felt O like pains for all 3 days and had a bit of stretchy globby-like CM (yuck-sorry for TMI!). Husband and I BD'd on the 18th, 20th and 21st. Here are my symptoms by DPO:

1-4 DPO: Slight nausea but nothing too remarkable

5DPO: Nausea and awful headache

6DPO: Gassy, headache and lazy feeling. Also had creamy discharge on underwear.

7DPO-12DPO: Sore/veiny/swollen boobs, cramping (ranging from slight pulling/stretching feeling to brief AF-like cramps), very gassy, very frequent urination (I'm talking like 1x every two hours or so.

At 8-10 DPO I had brown CM with my cramping but it's now stopped. I've been wearing a panty liner non stop and the only thing on it is yellowish whitish CM. Feeling very "wet" down there and also super moody

According to the app on my phone, AF is due Friday. I guess I just need some encouragement

I don't think it's a bad sign at all. It could easily just be too soon. Try again on AF's due date

Is it possible to have all of these symptoms without a high enough HCG level to get a BFP? Thanks for your help

There's tons of debate about it. Some say yes that there's some early pregnancy hormone that happens just after fertilization and others say no. I personally try not to symptom spot because I just got off bcp so I don 't trust my body haha. Sorry that wasn't much help!

But yeah if you Oed the 18th-20th you're only 10-12 dpo and some women can get an early bfp but when you think that implantation happens 5-12 days after O and it takes another 3-5 days for hcg to get into your urine you're def not out

If you got a bfn this late you're probably getting your AF soon.

Hello. It sounds like you got implantation bleeding 8-10 dpo, which means 12dpo still may have been too early to test. I would test again in about 2 days if no AF. The spotting sounds great!

Doesn't sound like you're out to me either. I agree test when AF is due. Takes a while for some women to get a read from urine. Remember, the HCG double every day so it may be just to early to detect.

Thanks for your input guys I psych myself out so bad sometimes. I was just looking back on my period tracker app on my phone from my last pregnancy and I was due for AF between April 13-15 and didn't test until the 20th when I got two bright pink ski pole lines lol so maybe I just take a while to build up HCG. Fingers crossed
