I have had to give up breast feeding due to being poorly  So little man is on formula. He is doing so well apart from a tad bunged up.

My question is can I use more than 1 make of bottle?I have tomme tippee closer to nature and MAM.I have only used the Tommee tippee ones but OH put the teats in the dishwasher :dohh: and now they are ruined.Money is tight so can't replace them all but I forgot I have 3 brand new MAM bottles.

Can I use the both? Will baby get confused?

have you seen a Lactation Consultant or read kellymom.com (https://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/aap-approved-meds.html)? Maybe contact LLL as well. Their monthly meetings are free and you can call a leader anytime. I bet they can help you pump or Breastfeed still!!!

yes you can mix bottles though. :)

Thanks hun.One boob wasn't producing for one but had to stop as it was making my womb contract causing very heavy bleeding.I have a fibroid that needs removing in a few weeks so on lots of meds and the less my womb contracts the better.Really annoyed at it all though x

oh my, thats rough. :( You tried though and thats what matters!

I would get a variety of bottles, more so nipples rather than bottles. Only because they come in all shapes and sizes. Orthodontic nipples, standard nipples, silicone, rubber, slow flow, fast, etc.
Personally as far as bottles I prefer glass because they dont get gross like plastic does and they last longer.

and for the nipps in the dishwasher, they make a plastic basket for them. You might check it out. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Prince-Lionheart-Dishwasher-Combo-Basket/4457086

Using a variety of bottles is fine, although some babies will have a preference (more for nipple type than bottle type). My LO has always had a weird latch even with bottles, so she prefers to use only the Dr. Brown's nipples, but the bottles themselves leaked so we use the Dr. Brown's nipples with Gerber bottles. Most babies have no problems though so it's fine to use a variety of bottles; as long as there's food in it baby won't mind!

Good luck!

I had to use 3 brands before my little lady settled on a good bottle and it done her no harm...in fact she's still on MAM and I so wished I used them from the start as they're fantastic.

I also use different brands. I have avent, evenflo, mam, and nuk. She uses the nuk more than the rest. I love the mam, but they only come with stage 2 teats and they are a bit too fast for her and you cannot find mam teats in any store here! Stage 1 for nuk take forever to finish a bottle, but stage 2 she dribbles out the side of her mouth more. She always dribbles, even now that she is 5 months old, but it's worse with the medium flow.

i just got dr.browns bottles today, was using mothercare ones which were fine but nicole was not liking them. i luv the dr browns bottles and so does nicole. still going to keep onto mothercare ones for emergency and for later on. on my son i had a mix of everything lol, avent, tesco's, chemist own brand etc. i kept loosing them etc
