is it too early to test?

according to my ovulation calendar i started ovulating on the 17th. Is it too early to test? Me and DH had whoops evening 4 days before OD. I have heard lots of stories about having a girl this way?
I am bloated, tired all the time, having major mood swings and stomach pains similar to period pains. not due AF until 3rd-5th.
Any help appreciated

i just done one and it was negative. Obviously wasn't meant to be. we wasn't planning it but i had kinda got excited about it
Just hope AF turns up soon now as i am so moody and tired! Plus my stomach is hurting (sigh)
