Hi Girls

My free VIP membership is up with fertility friend and I was wondering if it would be worthwhile paying the money for the VIP membership. Has anyone else done this? Do you think its worth it? The basic is free but doesnt give you the predictions so dont know what its usefulness is!
Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

Marie

Hiya, it depends, i mean the payed for membership is very good i admit but if you arnt 'serious' about temping and charting then you're wasting your money, it has a good system and helps you work stuff out but it can get stuff wrong if you're irregular or havent used it for at least 3 cycles...

normally ladies just get the free version and seek help on here if they need it :) but the days past ovulation counter and stuff isnt included with the free version so you need to be able to work that bit out yourself. x

I definately think so yes. I used all of the 'extras' that you get :D

i like it cos you can compare your chart and analyse the data more but i only get it when its on offer.

Thanks Candyapple. I do my temp every morning at the same time so thats fine, my only problem is AF which hasnt regulated itself yet since coming off the pill
Came off 19 May
AF 21 May for about 3 days
AF 2 July for about 4 days
AF 20 July so Im on again now
Just spoken to pharmacist and she says it may take 3/4 months to regulate.
Im wondering about the VIP membership because of my age really. Im 36 (tomorrow!) and if I dont regulate for another couple of months I could be 37 before I have a baby and because my fertility has reduced because of my age, Im nervous about missing ovulation each month. What do you think?

Hi Flubdub
Which extras do you think are worth paying for? If you look at my previous post, it explains my thoughts. What do you think?

have you thought about taking some of the many herbals us lot take to regulate our hormones? dont feel your age is a bother hun cause its not, more 40 yr olds are fitter than me and have a healthier body!!!!! age doesn't count in my eyes.

i had big issues with spotting too much during cycles, not ovulating, very long cycles, late ovulation, short luteal phases (yes this was all in ONE cycle!)

and since i started taking maca ive ovulated twice and got pregnant last month :( poor bean didnt make it but at least i know my body is a bit better now and ive just o'd again so i'm 14dpo friday, i'm praying for a sticky bean.

Whats Maca? Im sorry about your poor bean and fingers crossed for you for this month! Keep me informed x

Well, my VIP membership has expired, and the basic one is nothing like the VIP...:growlmad: It's a very basic thing, not sure it even shows your forecasted ov days like the VIP does.

On the other hand, I've given up charting altogether, so I'm merely using it to note my AF days.

Not sure if this helps?

x

I nearly always have the VIP cos i just prefer it. I like the scoring of pregnancy symptoms etc that u get in teh 2ww.

I've just started so still got my free VIP - how much does it cost normally?

I think it's worth it if you plan on using it as a tool. If it's just some place you want to keep track of your cycle days then the freebie works just fine. But if you want all the other stats I think it's worth it.

Personally I will not buy a VIP because what it the use of paying any money if by the end of the month your pregnant?
I like FF as a basic tool to look at my temps and keep notes on my period , but that's it. I don't trust it too much because it keeps moving my ovulation day around (I can detect that with OPKs anyway), why would I pay for such a unreliable tool ...

I have the VIP membership and I wouldnt go without it to be honest ...

You can carry your VIP memebership on to there pregnancy tracker until it runs out.

FF has never moved my Ovulation date around not once, and you dont always ovulate after a + OPK, thats why people temp to actually confirm that your have ovulated.

Last cycle I had a + opk and didnt ovulate for another 4 days which I wouldnt of know and i would of gave up BDing if I didnt temp

i was gonna say the same you can use the membership in the preg section. i did this with callum

Oh and the cost ...

For myself iv payed

90 days: £12 ish ...
180 days: £ 20 pound ish ...

i cant remember the exact amount

It's a good service but I also use My Fertility Charts which has a great free version. HTH.
