The last couple of weeks, Scarlett has been really dribbly, a little grouchy and very bitey. I've just been fishing around in her mouth to see if she has any teeth coming through that could be causing her a bit of pain, and I noticed that where some of her back teeth will be, she's got little sharp bits sticking out. The thing is, though, that they're not sticking out from the top of her gum, but more towards the side, if that makes sense?
Anyway, is this something or nothing? Anyone know?

Yea that is molars Hun x

Bugger.

She's way ahead of herself, silly thing...

Lol! We had been checking LOs gums for ages and didn't realise that they come through the sides first (make sense now thinking about it because oftheir shape!) When I felt last night, there were two molars cut!!?

Wait how old is your LO? Molars at 3 months?? I thought these are coming last after everything else?

your baby is only 3 months old tho right?

I doubt the teeth will be coming through already tbh hun... usually the front bottom 2 are the 1st ones to appear I believe

also I had my finger in my LO's mouth last night & could feel something similar to what you are describing (my LO is 6 months old with no teeth yet) so maybe its quite common for it to feel like this even tho the teeth arent ready to cut for a while yet iyswim? xx

I thought any teeth could come at any age

My friends LO cut a molar before the rest of his teeth :)

I know, I was surprised too, but it's so sharp I can't see what else it could be!
I suppose time will tell...fingers crossed it's nothing!

Hi
i ws just about to start a thread on this. My son is 9 weeks old tomorro. I felt hard things in his gums bout a week ago, and can see white. over the last few days he's got like fang shaped gums on the bottom if that makes sense. Are these his teeth? he has been screaming today like he in pain, his cheeks are red and he's very dribbly...well i say dribbly....more like bubbles. Now he's kinda whimperin in his sleep. I got some dentinox earlier and that has seemed to help but what else could i do if it is his teeth. He cant hold onto anything yet so a teething ring wouldn't be any good. I saw those tommee tippee teething dummy things but they say from 3 months.
Thanks in advance xx

really scary thought. I am going to pretend I've never read this one. Not after what I am dealing with right now with all her teeth coming at once.
