I went out to dinner with friends last night and left a bottle of pumped milk in the fridge. It was OH's first night alone with LO (9weeks) and it didn't go well. He screamed the whole time and refused to take the bottle (even though had been taking bottles from OH previously just fine). OH put the bottle back in the fridge. What's the rules on pumped milk? Is it bad now because OH had it out of the fridge?

I'd have to ask to be sure but I would guess 30-40 minutes?

Did the baby feed from the bottle at all? If not it should be fine. If so you should technically toss it. That being said, I personally would still use it since the stuff is precious as gold and the risks seemed minimal to me.

I believe "official" recommendation is to toss it if it touched the baby's mouth. If it was warmed before offering, it also can't technically be stored safely again.
Personally, if he offered it without warming the milk, I would just keep it and use it very quickly, but if he heated it AND it touched the baby's mouth AND sat out for half an hour, I would sadly toss it.

If it wasn't warmed and the baby hadn't fed from it I would put it back in the fridge and use it when next required. Xxxxx
