Is there hope

I saw my dr last week first app ultasound was done in her office was told I look about 5 wks 1 day but although there was a yolk sack there was no fetal pole so the dr sent me to get another ultrasound at the hospital the next day which had same results my dr called me and told me to get another ultrasound in a week but it really wasn't looking good she didn't think there would be a change I'm not understanding because from what I have read it is possible to not even see anything until 8 wks my pregnancy systoms have increased my nausea is worse then ever although I do somtimes get light cramping no spotting at all though my question is has anyone had increasing nausea of tender breast after being told the sack looks empty

There is definitely hope! Your doctor is being extremely pessimistic and actually said the exact opposite that mine did at your stage.
We didn't see a fetal pole at 5.5 but saw a yok sac, and the doctor wasn't even worried!! She said its normal and that it'd probably show up the next week. (They dated me by measuring the gestational sac by the way) They normally dont even do ultrasounds till 8 weeks because of this but there was a chance mine was ectopic.

Anyways the fetal pole usually appears after 6 weeks hun. Dont loose hope at all I dont see any reason why your doctor would say that to you.

When I went at what I thought was nearly seven weeks after some bleeding they told me I was only measuring 5+6 and there was a yolk sac but nothing else. I had to go back two weeks later to see if there was a heartbeat because there was no point going back before I was seven weeks.

They told me that my still sore boobs was a good sign. Everything was fine at my second scan and we saw his heartbeat and everything.

i had an early scan at 5 weeks and they only saw yolk sac, went back a week later and there was a fetal pole, and i dated 6 weeks exactly, you're too early to see the fetal pole i would have thought, so i think there's every hope for you, not sure why your doctor is dismissing you already??

absolutely hun. fetal pole is normally seen after six weeks, so hang in there n good luck!

Thank u for ur posts went for another scan not expecting much because of the Dr comments but was pleased to see a heartbeat I couldn't believe it I just started crying very excited

i wouldnt worry hun when i had a scan at 9 weeks he had to push down pretty hard to see it... and everything was A ok XX 5 weeks is very early after all you could be less... they are only guessing... id wait a couple more weeks 2bh good luck xx

i didnt see anything really until my 9 week scan, lol i went in at 5 and 7 wks, at 5 there was a black dot (yolk sac) and at 7 there was a sac and a white dot (baby) but not yet a heartbeat...then at 9+4 I had a gummi bear in my belly! (She looked literally like a lil gummi bear candy wiggling her lil nubs in there and a good strong heartbeat) So pay no mind to what your dr says, and if i were you i would get a different one. Someone more positive!
