Is this a growth spurt?

The past 2 days have been, for lack of a better word, hell. He is constantly feeding and taking about 3-4ozs every hour and half. He is fussy when I try to put him to sleep so he has been napping on my chest and cries everytime I try to put him somewhere else. He is being very needy with mine and OHs attention where he is normally fine just laying on the floor taking in his surroundings. I know there is suppose to be a growth spurt around 6 weeks but could it be early?

My little one is 4 and a half weeks and exactly the same! I've just been breastfeeding for nearly three hours straight with a few minutes break in between and she won't settle. Im exhausted 😣
