I need a gift for a 4th grade girl who is kinda crafty. I thought duct tape crafts might be a fun gift. I found these Alex toy kits, which seem like they would have simple enough instructions not to be frustrating, but I'm wondering if these look a bit too young? Should I look for something aimed a bit older? The age says 7+, do you think a 9-10 year old would find this stupid? I know there are other craft books out there, I just don't want to get something so complicated that she'll give up (or ask her mom to do everything for her). Any thoughts? I promise I won't be offended if anyone says this looks dumb, I'm a bit out of touch with the 4th grade crowd! :) Thanks!

Here are the links to the kits:

I don't have a 10 year old to ask... but I would love this for me! It looks really fun :D I don't think it'd be too young at all. With those type of kits, I often think the 7+ means "Will understand it but will probably need mum's help". At 9/10, she should be able to do it all herself, far more fun!

I have a 4th grade girl who got that same messenger bag kit for her birthday. She loved it. In fact, my 8th grade DD seemed a little jealous. I think it's perfect for a crafty 9-10 year old.

My 9 yo dd just got a duct tape jewelry kit and loves it.
