is this normal

ok so aly normally takes between 4-5oz every 3-4 hours but yesterday she started taking 3oz every nearly 3hours and also i was burping her and she was extremely hard to burp even though i could hear the wind and feel it knocking about in her belly and when she burped eventually it was VERY loud and sounded almost as if it should of hurt her, but she wasnt bothered, im just wondering wheather there is a certain type of bottle i can switch to that could decrease the air intake? maybe to make her less gassy? it just took me about 40mins to get 4oz down her.

she was 7lbs 2oz born on th e 18th feb and as of monday just gone she was 9lbs 13oz.


any advice would be great thanks

What bottles are you currently using? I use Tommee Tippee closer to nature and I only have to burp jason the once. They have a special valve which the air escapes through.

Anything that has a vent at the bottle ex.playtex ventire or I think MAM has one too

What about giving her a little infacol or gripe water to help ease the wind a little?

Her formula intake will vary from day to day. Hannah's always had these periods of less formula intake (usually lasting a few days) and than she'd go back to normal. Never had any problems with her gaining weight though...and a major growth spurt usually followed shortly after.
