Right, come from an Italian family, all of us with italian names.
Since I was young I have always said when i have a little boy I'll call him Vincenzo....shortened to Vinny (could also be shortened to Enzo when hes older)
Now im expecting my whole family are banking on my naming LO Vinny....i even stopped my brother naming his little boy Vincenzo!

Only problem is now im actually pregnant i cant decide if i actually want this name! I love it but i suppose im worried about what others will think.
Plus when i was little my neighbours had a rabbit called vinny....and i cant get that out of my head.
Just wanted some other mummy opinions :)

Vincenzo has a lot of possibilities for shortening; Vince, Enzo, Vinny, etc.

Antonio, Gianni, Lorenzo, Angelo would have to be my favourites..

My boyfriend's called Vincent, but everyone calls him Vinny. He loves it, and claims it's a 'strong' name. My little brothers call him vinegar though :dohh:

Don't change your mind! It's fantastic. It's a strong, masculine name!

I was the same way (with my girl's name) - had it picked out for eons and years and years...and now that I'm pregnant I don't like it, and am having second thoughts. How frustrating!! Isn't it funny how your mind can change so quickly after having it made up for so long beforehand?

And nobody else will remember the bunny! Trust me :P

Do you have a girl name too?

Vincenzo is a cool name.

I really like Vincenzo. :D

It sounds very strong, smart, and sexy.

And Vinny is so cute as a nickname for when he's a baby.

Is the only name you like? I think it's an old fashion name, I like more romans name like Giulio, Valerio, Massimo..like the gladiator!lol
Cheers

really nice name, although have u thought about how easy it will be for ur child to say ? we considered this when choosing a name !

for italian girls names i like ...
Gianna
Luciaemma ( pronounced Lu-Chem-A )

xx

I think ive picked the name Lola if its a little girl! Its not italian but i fell in love with it...again no doubt i'll change it by the time the babys here!
My names Lucia...without the emma hehe!

I know its not gonna be as easy for LO to say as something like Liam for example but he will be known as Vinny! It will only formally be Vincenzo so if he introduced himself it would be as Vinny!

I also love the name Gianni....unfortunately my brother stole that one for his daughter! Sienna Gianna Fecci, so thats that one out the window!
Thanks for all the replies ladies....been a help :)

My best friend is italian and has two kids, a girl named Allegra (Ally and Leggy for shory!) and a boy called Rocco, I LOVE those names and they really suit her kids and her family.

Vincenzo is lovely, even as the shortened version!
