Italy Homebirth (Sardinia Island)

I have been scouring the Internet looking for some information on Homebirth midwives in Italy that would be able to assist me on Sardina Island. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant with our 7th child. (5 home births). We might be moving from the States (Utah) to Sardina Island very soon and this will be one of my main deciding factors weather I come with the kids before or after the Birth.

Can anyone here help with finding English Speaking Midwives, Laws, and any other information about homebirth in Italy! Thank you so much for your time and help!!

I'm really sorry but I don't have a clue about Itallian home births.
I'll try and do some digging for you though. I'm in the UK, and as Italy is in the EU with us I can imagine that they do state MWs who are availiable for home births, the same as us and other member countries.

The Midwifery Today link will probably be your best shot. It is legal to birth at home in Italy (as far as I know), but I don't think it is that common, but it's not common in USA either. They probably have the same rates there as they do here. I'm sure you'll be able to find one, but will probably have to dig a bit.

Hi, i'm Italian and I can say that it is not that common here, but there are some site about the matter. I found association in Milan, Turin, Tuscany, but not in Sardinia.
