Itching - excess iron? Stop taking vits?!

I have posted before about being seriously itchy for the past few weeks. Got bloods taken and all ok but my iron levels are double normal! Doctor asked if I am taking a pre-natal with iron in it, which I am, and he said perhaps stop taking. Not overly concerned but should check my levels again in a months time.

Anyone else had this? Could this be causing the itching? I am taking Pregnacre original at the moment, but I am going to just stop taking them now - should be ok as I am past 12 weeks now and can stop taking the folic acid etc? Just a bit worried as to why my iron levels are so high! Doctor asked if I have a family history of this and I said not that I was aware of! Worrying now that have damaged my baby somehow

I have been seriously itchy recently and have been taking iron supplements as my iron was low.. Would be interested to know if there is a link..
