Hi Everyone-
I am only breastfeeding a little bit (few times a day, and most of that is pumping) so I never really got over the pain that typically comes the first couple weeks. DD is not a good latcher and not gentle as she tends to stay latched on to me as she stretches and moves her head, or gets startled my my 3 year old and throws her head back. Anyway, my nipples had healed form the initial cracking after using the pump more often, but a couple days ago after pumping my right nipple became itchy. I had what looked like a raw spot on my areola, however it seemed the nipple itself was what was itching. I am guessing the raw spot was from the pump? I had turned it up kinda high. The itching has been on and off, and I am trying to remember to put that lanolin cream on. I was worried it was yeast. I don't ever get yeast infections, and no antibiotics lately, and dd doesn't have anything visible in her mouth. Could this still be yeast, or does it sound like just normal irritation?
