ok so ive been manually taking out my breast milk for max has hes refused to latch on on for 2 weeks .. but yesterday I noticed my nipple area was itchy and i do mean extremly itchy ..really hard to scratch there too lol I put on some BF cream but one nipple is now bright red and dryed and craked lol I thought we only get this when the baby is Latching on .

 confused and in pain

I find that if I put my nipple back in my bra without letting it dry, it itches. I also think sometimes it feel more like pressure is causing the itching, like the milk wants to flow, but isn't. If that makes sense.

Pumps can cause just as much damage as babies! You sure it's not thrush though? Any needly sort of pains or shooting pains after pumping? x

I don't have any shooting pains thank god ..I havent used my pump in a few days ive been expressing by hand so mabey I touched something and then touched my nipple ..I dont know ..

I took a nice long bath with my oatmeal treatment and IM applying the BF cream I have so Ill see how it goes

But what is thrush ?

I had it but couldn't see anything on the surface - just pains after feeding (like someone sticking needles in me!) and red/pink nipples that did itch sometimes too. It can cause them to look dry and cracked.

Glad it doesn't sound like that - it's horrible! Hope it gets better for you soon x

Try rubbing some breast milk onto your nipples, it's better than any cream (or so my mum says).

Totally agree with that! Make sure you let them air dry thoroughly afterwards x
