It's 3am... oh sleep where are you??

Have tossed and turned for hours.. and I'm also now sure that I've got my son's tonsilitis :( throat is killing me and getting worse by the minute. Just took a bath, which was nice.. but made me super hungry, so I've just eaten a bowl of cereal... which I know will make lying down again fun... ahhhhh...

I've been insomniac with getting up for the loo etc for ages, but this is on a whole other level... sux!!

just had to rant :( is anyone else awake?

ha, im up.. not been to bed yet as no point..... u r due 2 days b4 me .....
 
it's only 11:24am here xD. As for tonsilitis try warm salty water and gargle it; tastes like crap but cleans the bacteria off. And eating just before bed, or even watching tv can make it hard for the mind to switch off; best way to get to sleep is to listen to soft music for half an hour or read a book.
 
I've been doing the same. Woke up at exactly 3:30 am the other morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I've been used to waking up to pee, but this is for no apparent reason. Guess it's our bodies getting us used to 3 am feedings or something! I have a feeling it's only going to get worse, too. :( I hope you can get some sleep tonight though. It's only 9:30 here, so I'll probably be right there with you in about 6 hours.

No sleep here :-( I am waking up at 2am - 3am nearly every morning and i can't get back to sleep. I have tried going to bed later but it makes no difference. By the end of the day I am shattered.

Sorry that you are feeling unwell. Hope you start to feel better soon xx
 
yep me too - every night i wake between 2am-3am - i actually feel quite rested then i look at the clock and realise i've slept for only 2-3 hours!!!!! then i get cross cos everyone says get all the sleep i can now!!! HOW???? makes no difference if i nap or not during the day. tried baths, reading, camomile tea, relaxation breathing - nothing gets me back over! now i just accept it and try and get some jobs done instead - eg emailing people i haven't seen in ages, skyping friends in different time zones, ironing!
 
thanks girls :hugs: managed to get a few more hours in. Today will be a lovely quiet day I think! x
