Well today we went for our first iui. I was a nervous wreck as things did not go like I'd hoped. When they called me back they have me DH counts and he had 5.5 million with 44% motility. My nurse told me the 5.5 million was pretty low but that the motility was normal. She also told me his volume was 4.0 which she said was also normal. He had 48% immotile and I can't remember what the morphology was. But when they went to do the iui the nurse could not get the catheter through. My RE then came and finished the procedure. It kinda hurt a little but nothing major. Now we wait...and June 1 is when I will test for pregnancy. She told me that the chances if this working were kinda low bc of his counts, but she did tell me this was possible. I'm just hoping for the best. Officially beginning my tww. Hope it goes by fast!!

Good luck! There's a bunch of us that did/are doing IUI in May in assisted conception section, feel free to join! I did my first IUI a week ago and can't wait. All I remember is that I saw 75 pre and 70 post-wash motility. But I asked nurse and she said his sample was great! I think most REs want at least 10 mil post-wash, as for the sperm count, but you never know, it only takes one!!
That is so true!! It does only take one. I had an unmonitored cycle with this one and my RE told me today that I had a huge chance for having multiples! Yikes!! Anyways I'm gonna keep my head up and hope for the best. And joining the assisted conception sounds like a great idea!!
