Iv been advised to drop a feed...isn't it too soon?

I only started weaning my LO 3 weeks ago...however my LO is still having four 8oz bottles...and 2 meals at the moment...i have been advised to drop a feed...isn't it too soon?

Any advice would be appreciated xxx

my hv never mentioned this to me i just heard it on here that you can drop a feed, i dont know what to do either, does your LO sleep through the night ? charlies up every 4 hours for feeds still so im not sure whether i should , im confused lol xxx

I know alot of people say 7months onwards you can drop a feed thats why i thought it was too early...has Charlie ever slept through? Luckily my bubs likes his sleep but he will get up between 3am and 4am...has a little look around...has a little laugh with himself and then falls back asleep xx

Feed Caitlyn twice a day and she had 4 7oz bottles in the day. She usually eats a whole jar too.

I wouldn't drop a feed. He will let you know when he doesn't want it.

I'd just leave it up to him to decide to drop it. First he should start dropping oz and eventually miss the feed totally.

Thanks for that Amy...you have put my mind at rest...i personally thought he was too young and he is obviously drinking because he wants it and when he doesn't he refuses it...plus he has only been having 5 teaspoons of food... xx

Jasmine has 4 7oz bottles a day, sometimes she will only take 3 and is also on 2 meals a day

You do whats right for your baby. Caitlyn wont have more than she can take. Well SOMETIMES she does, and she throws it right back up again. But milk is still her main intake right now.
