Where my baby is concerned ive become so tunnel visioned that I want everything to run smoothly. Im absolutely against animal cruelty in any products and ive told everyone not to buy certain baby products as I know they are tested on animals - its a well known brand and always on offer in shops etc. However some family and friends havent listened and as much as I love the gesture of them buying for baby they have completely ignored my wishes. Do I just accept and be grateful or express my wishes one more time?!

Id just smile and say thanks, then just bin them or give them away if you don't want to use them yourself :)

I know I wont use them. So I was considering asking my midwife if anywhere accepts baby donations for a childs charity or something?

We got a bunch of Johnson's stuff at my shower that i know i won't use as i prefer more gentle/natural products. So i thanked everyone of coarse and then donated them to my township. I think when someone gifts you something it's best to just say thank you

Johnsons by any chance?

Just accept them as someone has taken the time to get you / baby a gift & then do something with them a little further down the line like giving them to charity or a local childrens home.

Does Johnsons test on animals?? :dohh: I use them but if I found they were tested on animals I wouldnt be using them :flower:

I would just smile, thank the person for the gift and give them away x

Personally if there were any brands which I specifically didn't want then I would let people know before a shower.

I'd be a bit annoyed if I'd gone to the effort and expense of buying someone a gift and then later found out that they'd given it away when they could have told people their preferences in advance.

I didnt have a shower, but I have told them numerous times when they ask what they can buy or what we dont have I say I dont want this brand if you plan on buying baby products. However people just don't listen.

Yeah I was referring to johnsons I have no issue with other people using it I personally just wont use it.
