I see my Consultant this afternoon to discuss RMC and I'm so nervous!

My husband and I had our bloods checked last November and they have came back clear. He will have a copy of the pathology report from the private hopsital where I had my DnC last July and also, the pathology report from January's MC.

Has anyone had answers from pathology reports? Does anyone know what the next stage will be?

I know he'll discuss this will me later today but now today has arrived I'm all over the place.

only just seen this how did your results go?

Hi Tracie, I've copied and pasted what I had written in M&S forum.

I met with my consultant today to discuss RMC. My bloods, our genetic bloods, Thyroid (even though its been removed) are all fine so basically there is no medical reason for my RMC.

Told him I was pregnant again and cramping like MC cramps. He says I have an increased chance of MC again since I've not allowed my body to heal and he got the nurse to take my bloods to check HCG levels. Asked if he thought my eggs were to old (I'm thirtyeight) he says not till I'm 42!!!!!! just felt fobbed off and I'm currently RAGIN.COM, so much so I came home and went straight to my bed :hissy:

I've to take asprin and they will monitor me at 7, 9 & 12 weeks and that's about it. God I've spent months reading on the internet (naughty I know ) looking for answers, no mention of the stuff I've read about, ie Natural Killer Cells, crap sperm, testing of eggs if you're older.

So I'm going private just for a consultation with a guy who runs the Glasgow Reproductive Medicine Centre, it might be worth a 2nd opinion and it will only cost me £155. If this consultant suggests anything different then I can see him on the NHS at another hospital.

Hun you'll be amazed at how much of a better, thorough service you get when you go private.

A 2nd opinion is a great idea. Good luck

That's what I beginning to think. Don't get me wrong I can't afford the private consultant to do the investigations so we are just meeting him to discuss his thoughts. He works out of another NHS hospital too, so hopefully, if he can recommend further testing he'll take me on his list.

XXXXXXXXX

MrsJD, Just checking in to see how your appt went yesterday. I hope it was good news!
