Well I don't think my story is all that but I still wanted to share because I appreciated yours
My labor actually started at 34 weeks when I was diagnosed with preterm labor, I was given medication to stop them and sent home with strict instructions to take them for the next 2 weeks and then I would stop. As time went by my contractions diminished to regular braxton hicks but the never actually fully stopped.
Within the next few weeks, I was in and out of the hospital with different issues( the baby not moving from time to time, and pain in my chest right below my left breast and in the middle of my ribs )
The chest pains became so bad that I could no longer sit or lay down for too long, I finally found the pain extremely unbearable and for 1 week I could not sleep through the night because the longer I lay down the more intense it became so I went back to the hospital where they admitted me at 38+3 on the 3rd at about 7am. Throughout the day I was monitored did a million blood work, did ultrasounds, finally a nurse recommended a pee test for protein. With all the work that was done the doctors realized that my platelets had dropped from 130 to115 in less than 24 hours so an induction that night was agreed upon.
The urine test also came back and yes there was protein
Here's where the story begins:
At 12am I was 1cm and not soft so they inserted a medicine in my vagina for 6 hours, when they checked at 10am I was 3cm having BH's no pain except my ribs so doc started patocin( sp) for the next 9 hours I was still in no pain + no progress doc decided to break my water at 7pm that's when the pain came and bit me in the ass I could not bear the contraction felt like something grinding out my insides so 1hr later I got an epidural which was just as uncomfy because I couldn't feel my legs! But better than the pain. But a few minutes later LO heart rate started to drop and the patocin had to be stopped, was then started bk a few hours later checked again at 10 still 3cm absolutely no progress, c-section talk was given and I told her to wait a couple more hours, at 12am on the 4th 3cm still no progress so I was prepped for surgery and my little man made a little cry at 1:20am weighing 6lbs 15oz 21inches long
Breast feeding is going well and all he does is eat sleep and poop not fussy or anything![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
The pain has totally stopped
