So me and OH are house sitting for his parents this week and they have a huuuuuggee bath with jets in it that makes a jacuzzi, just wondering is it safe to use in pregnancy. I know you can't use hot tubs and jaccuzis at spas as they are so hot and can raise your body temperature alot but this is literally just bubbling up your bath water so i'll be able to control the temperatre when i fill the bath up if you get me.

Anyone know anymore??? Thanks xx

Ooh so glad you asked this question as my mum has one of these baths and I been afraid to use it recently incase I not supposed to, mum thinks its Ok as as you say you control the temperature yourself.

I did try it the other day for about a minute but baby became really energtic and I paniced so turnt it off, so would also really like to know what people think. I sure its Ok but would rather be sure before I use it again.

I was wondering this as well... My grandma has one of those tubs, and she's always telling me to come up to her place to use it cause it'll relax me more than a regular bath! I just keep forgetting to ask!!!

I'm assuming it should be ok as it's not overly hot or anything... so long as the air isn't going up your va-jay-jay!

haha i had this exact experience and was rly scared so said to OH no no no turn it off quick lol panicing!!!! Then just had a normal bath in the end but we're here till monday so hoping to get some good replies by then my back deserves a bit of tlc. Its probably babies picking up on our own nerves about it. When i had my mri scan last week in hospital i came out and balled my eyes out because it was rly loud and bubba was jumping about like a jelly bean really upset me thought it had stressed her out. But the doctor said baby probably couldn't even hear anything and more than likely picked up on my anxiety about it all amazing. Sorrry Lilly lol.

 thats probably all it is, our own insecurites at the fact we don't know. Mum keeps telling me she thinks its Ok but I jsut don't know, i hoping it is as its soo relaxing, I was even thinking about jumping in it when in early labour (if allowed) keep meaning to ask midwife what she thinks but forget.

Fingers crossed you get some good replies as really want one before I go back to sorting my house out on Monday.

I have a jacuzzi tub in my bathroom and I use it almost daily! My mw said it's fine- as long as mom doesnt feel overheated, baby is just fine!

As long as it isn't to hot you'll be fine, enjoy and relax xx

oh man, I would LOVE one of those bathtubs!! I am super duper jealous Katieandbump!! x

Wish I had one of those baths !! I would live in it !!

I should think that if your midwife says its ok then go for it. I went for a spa day a few weeks ago and I was gutted watching everyone else lounge about in the hydrotherapy pools whilst I had to make do with the pool !

I love our whirpool tub :) I use it all the time.. just make sure the water temp is safe:)
