JFF: Gender Prediction Methods?

So there's no solid evidence to support gender prediction theories during pregnancy, but who here is a believer anyway?

I am a fan of the heartrate theory (over 140 BPM = and 139 BPM and lower = )

DD was always around the 170 BPM mark during first trimester so that one worked out for me. This baby is at 165 too so who knows? Could be team pink again!

I love stuff like this! I find it really fun and interesting.
Anyone know other theories? I heard of one that depends on your placenta position but I forgot the name of it!

I am from the Carribbean and one big one here is the shape of your belly.

Round= Girl
Pointy= Boy

From the moment I started to show everyone said I would have a girl. My bump is perfectly round. My family even named her.

I was unsure because I kept having dreams of a baby boy and even had a boy name picked out and still couldnt decide on the girl name.

Sure enough, I am 21 weeks along with a girl. I revealed my gender and no one was surprised.

They were all like "Yeah we know, you are really round!".

I Dont have a theory only I knew on my heart my son was a boy I was so sure i bought boys things and nothing girly appalled to me when my son was born my midwife David said you knew he was a boy didn't you.

This time I'm convinced a girl I'm not girly and I'm finding pink nice I hate pink I bought 2 pink lush bombs I wouldn't normally do this.
I saw two little girls and thought their dresses were pretty. I've seen stuff for sale on fb and it's boys I'm like yuck no can't put a girl in that not when I see the cute girls stuff I'm like ooohhhh that's nice oohhh that's pretty.

Lol just checked out the Chinese gender callender it says 50% accurate well of course says I'm having a girl. And what did i say......

I found the Chinese calendar was hit and miss. One said boy, another girl, it wasn’t consistent.
I also tried the baking soda and red cabbage test but didn’t actually do them until I was about 18 weeks, apparently that was too late but they both came out girl.
Today I found out she is a girl! Her heartbeat was also 148bpm at my 16 week appointment and still around that time figure now.

If you put your urine with baking soda and it fizzes/foams it’s supposed to be a boy, if nothing at all then girl. It goes off the alkalinity/acidity if the wee I think.

The red cabbage one is tip hot water over some half a cabbage, let it sit for 10/15 mins then mix the liquid with urine. If it goes purple or stays the same it’s girl, if it goes red it’s boy.

It might’ve been coincidence but it worked for me ☺️

I did red cabbage with DD and got girl I think I was about 16 weeks too actually.

I have a gender prediction test I did with this baby, supposed to do the same based on acid/alkaline of your pee. There's a video in my signature if anyone was curious.

So far everything has said girl that I've tried except the Chinese gender chart but I've heard it's unreliable, as some ask for your current age and others ask for your 'lunar age'. I don't know what it means but I know it's the difference

I did the Ramzi theory with both of my previous pregnancies, and it was spot on for both!

It's to do with baby's location on a sonagram, but abdominal scans are flipped compared to vaginal.

Abdominal = girl right, boy left
vaginal = boy right, girl left
