Does anyone know what a "group job search session" actually is? i just got told i was going to do it in "that room"
I really don't feel comfortable talking to allowed of people I don't know, so nervous about going. I don't even see the point of it now either :/
Im not even getting any JSA because I apparently didnt pay enough tax, even tho i worked for over 2n half years straight up untill last october.

i would try and explain to them that you feel this way, they cannot force you into a roon full of people, but, if you are not getting anything why would you have to go through the motions with them?

I rang them up this morning and basicly said I felt it pointless me using petrol and paying for parking, just to do something i'l get panicky at doing and turns out after being on the phone for half an hour and speaking to about 5people, it was voluntry and I didn't have to go anyway! Tho I will have to go to a compulsory one in about 8weeks (at this time i'l be 21weeks pregnant, so even more of a waste of time!)
I said I don't get why I have to do these things when there not acctually paying me anything and they claim they are paying my NI :S

All it is, is looking for jobs in a room with other people.

They do it at my mum's company and they can actually stop your money if you don't agree to do it as it can be seen as not actively seeking work.

The one today was a voluntry one, so it doesnt matter that I rang and said I wasn't going.

I don't mind going to the ones I have to go to, and when they actually tell me what it is and dont just say its "in that room" and they know I will stress about it has I asked her what it involved has I couldn't handle tlaking to a group of people I don't know (I have very low self astem and no confidence what so ever) I was simply asking if anyone new what it was they was wanting me to go to, plus stating that its wasting there time, Iv applied to god nows how many jobs myself and through them and dispite the fact i could do the job with my eyes shut, I have not been given the job, except one, which wanted me to cancel a holiday we have booked, which Im not going to do when its the last holiday we will have as a couple, and its already booked.

Um, okay, I wasn't asking about your job or lack of. Just saying that if you don't want to go to appointments then don't sign for credits?
