Job interview but TTC

I've just found out I've been successful in securing a job interview (date to be confirmed but anticipate this to be within next 2 weeks) so I'm not sure if we should put TTC on hold just until we know whether or not I get the job however, we've been waiting 3 months for this time to come and it's got me really low at times because I've just wanted to get back on the wagon of TTC again (had a ?ectopic in January so had to wait due to treatment).
On the flip side, this is a really good opportunity for me with more scope for promotion in the future and would be a good move financially.

Another part of me thinks (wishful thinking ) If I continue with ttc and if I get the job I probably won't know I'm pregnant until after I've accepted the job and then I won't feel so bad. The job is still within the same company, just a different branch and therefore I qualify for maternity benefits etc as its considered continuous employment albeit a different place!

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

I think that you should go for the job and still continue to ttc - you're not being unfair or deceptive to your employer at all. You're not currently pregnant, just planning to become so. A better job gives you an even better basis for starting a family

I agree with Lipsty... your in the same company so like you said you will still get maternity benefits and if you are the right woman for the job you will get it regardless of if you are at the age where your employer may expect you to be trying for a family.

I'm in a situation where we are TTC and I don't really enjoy where I work any more but I am plodding on and making the most out of it to ensure we have a good basis for a family to ensure I get SMP.

I am the same, my job doesn't fulfil me anymore & I'm bored so ttc last year had extra added bonus in that If I fell pregnant I'd get 9 months off from it.

I'm not working at the moment lost my job at xmas and scared to enter a new one as were ttc. This is our sixth month but as your already in the company i would go for it.

go for it you still are allowed to work and be pregnant and coz its the same company its all good, good luckxx

Defo don't put your life on hold Hun, go for the job, if you get it great and if you then get pregnant even better as you will have achieved two great things for yourself.

I agree with everyone.. Go for the job and keep TTC.. Financial support never hurts and You dont want to put TTC on hold! because it may still take a few months for you (i hope not good luck to you on the job and TTC!!!!! Sticky Baby Dust!
