Hello,
Following on from over a year of properly trying and many years prior to this of not trying but not using contraception as a happy accident would have been welcome in our marriage we finally have some answers after seeing a fertility specialist last week. After lots of bllod tests, two semen analysis tests the specilaist has now diagnosed PCOS. As I have regular periods and have done since starting my periods age 12 this hadn't crossed my mind. I'm also not a hairy person and not overweight so again didn't think I had the signs. Anyway it seems I knew little about the condidtion and I do have the adult acne, tiredness and feel really sick if I go too long without eating. The specialist thinks that although I am ovulating the egg is being released slowly therefore the quality of the egg reduces by the time it could be fertilised. He has therefore started me on a course of Metformin and would like to do another blood test before starting me on Clomid. The Metformin is already making me feel very sick in the evening, I'm taking the slower release version and currently only taking one in the morning but need to increase to take another in the evening in 10 days time. As this is all pretty knew to me I wanted to see if there are other things such as diet I should be changing to increase our chances and also if there are other things I should or shouldn't do.
Any help appreciated.
