hi ladies. i thought it was about time i headed over here and said hello.
im 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and will be a single mummy.
i guess my story is quite different to most of you, i actually planned to be a single mummy.
i have wanted to start a family since i was about 18, but concentrated on getting my career (nurse) and waiting for mr right to turn up.
well im still waiting! i thought i was getting close with my ex, we were planning on moving in together, marriage and babies, but then he turned around and said he needed to move away for his career and i had always said i would never leave my family, so we split and he is now in germany!
so i thought sod it, im not gonna wait any more and live with this empty feeling and decieded i was going to go it alone (well not quite, i have an amazing supportive family and friends support network)
so i found a donor and got lucky on my 3rd month of trying. i keep in contact with the donor letting him know how things are going and when my son is old enough he can get in touch with him.
i cant wait to have my son, and know there will be difficult times ahead, but hopefully you ladies can coach me through them.
